After months of sifting through applications, talking to awesome artists about their plans and the less-exciting jobs of contracting and logistics, finally we’re able to announce the Plymouth Fringe Festival 2018 Programme.
It’s going to be an another amazing year with heaps of theatre, comedy, dance and performance on offer from Monday 28th May to June 2nd June.
This year, we’ll be adding the Drum at Theatre Royal Plymouth to our roster of venues with the inimitable The Plasticine Men bringing their new show Engine Brake to the festival throughout the week.

Beyond the Grave | Falling Pennies
Two of last year’s Toast of Plymouth Fringe winners will be returning, Rabblerouse Theatre with their contemporary gothic yarn A Cautionary Tale and Full Pelt Theatre with a show typically absurd and hilarious Carpet Town.
Speaking of comedy, we’ve got Nick Hall (who long-time Fringe fans may remember from his sell-out Szgrabble in 2016) with one-man historical romp Spencer as well as winner of Dave’s Funniest Jokes of the Fringe 2016 and 2017 Adele Cliff with a preview of her new stand-up show Sheep.

If you’re a music fan, then Lights Down Productions will be bringing the noise with their part-gig-part-play Hear Me Howl, Alexander Rhodes will be using spoken word to tell us the tale of an ex-cultist-turned-raver in One Foot in the Rave and the “undisputed oldest lady of punk” will be recalling her time setting up a punk band at the age of 45 in deepest Cornwall in VIVA!VIVA!.
There’s too much to write about every single show at length here but, below, you’ll find listed the majority of shows that are hitting the festival this year. Keep your eyes out next week for further announcements and the week after that for tickets going on sale!
We’re massively looking forward to sharing this year’s festival with you. It’s going to be something quite special.
