After the launch of our quite vast programme of shows last Wednesday, we wouldn’t blame you all for sitting there and thinking “crikey – that’s a lot of shows for a week-long festival! Surely that’s enough?”
WRONG.
We don’t ever rest on our laurels, so we’ve added a few extra shows for you to see – taking place at some additional venues across the city. We do spoil you.
We’re particularly excited to have added some extra family shows into the mix; with it being half term during the festival, there are opportunities for families to come along and see some really great theatre throughout the week – and as the shows don’t clash, it’s even possible to see all the family shows. You can spot the family shows by looking out for this Family Friendly logo:
New additions include Roostabout’s The Tinkering Hour, taking place in the Hidden Woods @ Kings Road, and The Canary Girls presented by Stiltskin at their own Soapbox Theatre in Devonport Park.
Beyond this, we’re excited to be presenting work by some local favourites at Radiant and Rumpus Cosy, on Derry’s Cross. The exciting Street Factory Studios will be bringing HIP HOP IZ? to Radiant, and Pilot’s Thumb will be performing their latest show Eddie in Rumpus Cosy – bringing a performance and dining experience together.
As another bonus, we’ll be presenting Documental Theatre & Symbiotic’s Friction at the University of St Mark & St John in the latter part of the week – something which sees the festival’s reach spread a little further, and brings yet another show and venue into the fold.
And of course, we’ve got ALL THE OTHER SHOWS which you already know about.
Excited? We are. Get booking your tickets, if you haven’t already!
