Guest Post: Hattie Collins on how FISSURE went from Page to Stage
As Plymouth Fringe 2019 draws nearer, we’ve asked some of the magnificent artists and companies who will be bringing shows to the festival to pen a blog about either the ideas behind their work or why they’re looking forward to sharing their show with Plymouth audiences.
In the first of these, Hattie Collins, writer and director of FISSURE gives us an insight into the development process behind this sensational new play.
The countdown to Plymouth Fringe 2019 has begun!
Myself, and the cast of Fissure (Jordan Ashton and Rachael Crozier), are extremely excited for our performances and the fantastic work we’ll get to see in Plymouth.
When seeing new work I’m always intrigued about its journey, so I hope you enjoy this little timeline that I’ve created showing the main checkpoints in Fissure’s life.
Each checkpoint served as an opportunity for rewrites and feedback in order to create the play that it has become today.
See you all in Plymouth!
Hattie
