It’s a very exciting time to be a part of the cultural sector in Plymouth – on top of another exciting summer of activity, there’s even more to look forward to (including New Model Theatre’s Outpost season, curated by our very own Tom Nicholas), and Arts Council England have recently announced they’re investing £635,000 into visual arts the city. It feels like Plymouth is doing things right.
We’re not done yet, though. Whilst we’re not planning and presenting Plymouth Fringe Festival, we at Toast are constantly thinking of what we can do to ensure Plymouth continues to be a vibrant, creative city.
Recently we’ve been working alongside Theatre Royal Plymouth Barbican Theatre Plymouth, Plymouth University and Plymouth Dance to think about how the city can continue to support artists. For all you artists reading this – we’d like to ask you FOUR questions about making performance art in Plymouth.
