Plymouth Fringe Festival 2020 Applications

Applications are now open for Plymouth Fringe Festival 2020!

The sixth annual Plymouth Fringe Festival will take place from Monday 25th to Saturday Saturday 30th May 2020 and, once again, we’re looking to hear from both homegrown companies based here in the South West and exciting artists from across the UK wishing to bring work to our week-long celebration of theatre and live performance in Britain’s Ocean City.

We’re looking to programme over 50 performances in venues across the city including Theatre Royal Plymouth, Barbican Theatre and The House and some unexpected spaces too. Together, we’ll make the city buzz with performers and audiences, comparing notes and experiencing fresh and inspiring new shows.

If you’d like to share a piece of theatre, dance, comedy or any other kind of live performance with our wonderful audiences then this section of our website aims to explain how we go about programming and what we can offer to companies bringing work to Plymouth Fringe.

Plymouth Fringe Festival is an actively curated festival for new professional work and work by new and emerging companies.

As always, there will be no charge for taking part in the festival and companies will receive 60% of net Box Office takings. Tickets will be £8 with discounts for audience members attending multiple shows to allow audiences to experience the full breadth of the programme.

Applications will close on Friday 21st February 2020 and we will aim to reply to all applicants by Friday 13th March 2020. We hope to be able to fit as many shows as possible into the programme for Plymouth Festival Fringe and look forward to receiving your application.

We are also interested in performances that takes place beyond traditional theatre spaces. If you are interested in bringing a site-specific/performance not based in a traditional venue to Plymouth Fringe Festival or if you have any questions then please contact Matt at matt@wemaketoast.org
