Applications now open for Plymouth Fringe Festival 2018!
As everyone’s hunkering down for the holiday season, here at Plymouth Fringe Festival, we’re doing quite the opposite. In between wrapping gifts for loved ones and toasting marshmallows, we’ve been stomping our feet firmly down on the accelerator as, for the fourth time in a row, we’ve prepared to open up applications for our annual week-long celebration of theatre and live performance.
And now, after much work behind the scenes, we can announce that applications are open.

Plymouth Fringe Festival 2017
It seems like a very long time since we launched our very first festival back in 2015 and, since then, we’ve had the pleasure of working with some incredible performers and artists while building a fantastic, risk-taking and supportive audience in Plymouth.
Each of us on the Plymouth Fringe team is ridiculously passionate about the potential of the theatre and performance scene here in Plymouth. Being able to showcase the amazing work being made in the South West while introducing inspiring and exciting companies from across the UK to audiences in our city each year is a real honour and joy.
Sifting through applications, reading about the incredible pieces of work that are being made and building an exciting and diverse programme for Devon and Cornwall audiences is a real perk of the job. As we open applications once more, we are incredibly excited to hear from old friends and new. So, if you’re a Plymouth Fringe Festival regular or if you’ve never stepped foot in this green and pleasant county, we can’t wait to hear from you.
Once again, we’ll be working with our partner venues Theatre Royal Plymouth, Barbican Theatre and Plymouth Conservatoire as well as some unexpected places too programming over 50 performances across the city between Monday 29th May and Saturday 2nd June 2018.
As always, there will be no charge for taking part in the festival and companies will receive 60% of net Box Office takings. Tickets will be £8 with discounts for audience members attending multiple shows.
Applications will close on Friday 16th February 2018 and we will aim to reply to all applicants by Friday 23rd February.
We look forward to reading your application and to piecing together an incredible Plymouth Fringe Festival 2018.
