Dance Triple Bill
May 27 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Occultation Dance Collective, The Prism Project and Plymouth Conservatoire Dance Students
Venue: Barbican Theatre
Running time: 60 mins
Recommended age: All ages
Three of Plymouth’s most exciting dance companies join us for our annual showcase of beautiful, innovative dance.
Occultation Dance Collective
Through research and development ‘Earthed Veins’ explores the essence of ‘spirit’, ‘dreams’ and ‘energy paths’ that may be our connections to lay lines through organic responses to movement.
The Prism Project
Flying/Falling From a Great Height
Exploring how a shift in perception can change an experience, audience members are invited into the stage space. Movement alongside light and haze create feelings of plummeting, suspension and weightlessness. You are invited to consider, to what degree can you choose your experience? Do you decide to fly or fall?
Plymouth Conservatoire Dance Students
Autobiographical Double Bill
Second year dance students Lydia and Lucas from Plymouth Conservatoire present a performance involving two short autobiographical solos. Exploring themselves through a prop that connects their thoughts with their embodied movement. Each solo uniquely expresses each individual characteristic that makes them who they are.
