Applications for Plymouth Fringe Festival 2019 are now open!
After months of busying ourselves away behind the scenes, considering how we might even begin to top 2018’s incredible festival, we’re pleased to once again be unbolting our letterbox and inviting applications from performance artists, theatre companies, dancers, comedians and more wishing to perform at the fifth annual Plymouth Fringe Festival.
Plymouth Fringe Festival 2019 will take place from Monday 27th May to Saturday 1st June 2019 and will once again see performances taking place in Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Drum Theatre and The Lab studio, the Barbican Theatre, The House and perhaps some unexpected places too.
If you’re a maker of live performance and would like to bring your show to Plymouth Fringe Festival 2019 then head over to plymouthfringe.com/apply where you’ll find more information as well as details of how to apply.
Since our first festival in 2015, Plymouth Fringe Festival has grown into a flashpoint for theatre in the South West, bringing together homegrown artists from Plymouth’s thriving cultural scene and some incredible performers from further afield in a magnificent celebration of theatre and live performance in Britain’s Ocean City.
Plymouth is gifted with some of the most supportive and risk-taking audiences around and we’re looking forward to once again piecing together a programme which amuses, inspires, challenges and provokes.
We’re excited to hear from old friends and new faces so, whether you’re a Plymouth Fringe regular or if you’ve never set foot in this green and pleasant county of ours, then we’d love to hear from you.
As ever, there will be no charge for taking part in the festival and companies will receive 60% of net Box Office takings. Tickets will remain at £8 with discounts available for audience members attending multiple shows.
Applications will close on Friday 22nd February 2019 and we will aim to respond to all applicants by the Friday 8th March 2019.
We look forward to hearing from you and to an extraordinary Plymouth Fringe Festival 2019.
